Cesare Bussolo

Località Cerreto 7, 12064 | La Morra CN

History

Cesare Bussolo was born and lived in the heart of the Langhe, in La Morra. In 1998 he graduated from the Alba oenological school, and from the following year until 2006 he worked for the Bovio winery in La Morra, before joining Roberto Voerzio in 2007 as oenologist, a company for which he still works today. 2009 was an important year, because Cesare also became a wine producer, again in his beloved La Morra, which for him has the best terroir in the world. In that year he bought a 90-year-old vineyard in an area with a great vocation for Barbera, the Santa Lucia area in La Morra, which he then replanted with a high density, 8000 plants per hectare, allowing him to reduce production to 1 kg per plant while increasing quality. In 2014 he started his beautiful adventure as a Barolo producer, thanks to the rent of a part of Roberto Voerzio's Fossati vineyard. A few years later, in 2017, Cesare started a new project, Barolo del Comune di La Morra, and in 2019 another novelty, Dolcetto d'Alba, a wine that Cesare loves very much. In 2021, the new Barbera Roscaleto, which ages 2 years in barriques, also arrived on the market. Bussolo's adventure has only just begun but promises great results!
