Terre del Barolo

Via Alba/Barolo, 8 | Castiglione Falletto CN

History

In December 1958, Arnaldo Rivera, a teacher and charismatic mayor of Castiglione Falletto and a man with great sensitivity for the territory, decided, together with 21 other winegrowers in the area, to set up a cooperative. Each year the number of members grew, until in 1978 the members' vineyards extended to 650 hectares, a number that has remained unchanged to this day. In 1994, the cooperative took an important step: it purchased a Nebbiolo vineyard for Barolo in the prestigious Rocche di Castiglione cru in Castiglione Falletto. Over the years the winery was expanded and other vineyards were purchased, until 2017, the year of the turning point: a new chapter of the company dedicated to the founder Arnaldo Rivera began. Today the last works are being completed: the cellar will be enlarged and renovated with a new underground barrel cellar and new rooms dedicated to the wine shop and the tasting and multimedia room.
