Burzi Alberto

Frazione Santa Maria, 9 | La Morra CN

History

A great passion for wine and the land where he was born led Alberto Burzi to start his business in La Morra, in the heart of the Barolo area. He has retraced the steps of his grandparents, the roots of his family, and cultivates historic vineyards in the most prestigious crus of Barolo. The goal of Alberto and his sister Caterina is to create wines that best describe the bond between territory and vine, whose elegance can dominate the power of the tannin. To create a great wine for them is the result of many small attentions with the utmost respect for nature, the care of the vineyard and the management of the cellar. The Burzi's aim is to give the customer, when he drinks a glass of Barolo, a wine that knows and speaks of Barolo, of Langhe, of La Morra.

People

This young company is run by Alberto Burzi, oenologist and founder of the winery; his sister Caterina, after graduting in foreign languages, joined her brother, dealing mainly with sales and communication.

Vineyards

The vineyards are located almost entirely in the Santa Maria area in La Morra, including the old Capalot vineyard, in particular the part historically known as “gasprina” and the famous La Serra vineyard.

Wines

Few bottles are produced, but of extreme quality: the Barbera d’Alba “Plaustra”, the Langhe Nebbiolo “Runcaja” and two Barolos: the classic Barolo and the Capalot vecchie viti.
